If you’re working up a sweat, chances are you’re wearing synthetic fabrics made from oil. Yes, that oil — the same icky stuff that’s the primary culprit in the global climate crisis. So when Allbirds jumped into the performance apparel category, we created a campaign that spilled this oily truth and gave people a reason to run towards the natural alternative. Shot in partnership with a group of Kiwi athletes, the launch campaign featured expansive imagery of the New Zealand countryside paired through collage with a bold, yet simple type treatment. It all kicked off with a teaser spot for the 2021 Summer Olympics and later ran globally across broadcast, OOH, retail, and social.
